:: i can finally understand music production more

 

it's now that i can start to understand music as more of a creator than a consumer. before, i was just trying to work with sounds based on the emotions it provoked into me. i took advice from several people to create the drum sounds first, and i've experimented with some things. they all sound good but then i tend to get more song idea within conceptualization of another piece or experiment. 

so now that i know how to analytically create music now, and it's more easier than i expected, with the drum kits and sets i am introduced to with what i'm using, i'm really excited to start producing music and taking it more seriously. i'm happy that i finally made some progress and got a few steps in. 

i can finally make my middle school dream of being a vocaloid or utau producer come true.

it's just that.. 

i don't understand how people plan songs.

so far, i've been just making drum beats based off how i feel. i already classified some sounds that match my emotions. having a melody that matches the lyrics is difficult so i'm watching some tutorials to help with that. do i just continue trying to produce?

i also was able to problem solve one confusion of mine about the drums, the drum pattern can change. it doesn't have to be the same drum beat throughout the entire song, so that was helpful.

anyway, i was advised to get the basics down first before i "break the rules", so i guess i'll continue until i can complete one song and be able to show all of you. afterwards, i'm privating all of my work that's amateur-ish to me.
